Great Yarmouth is a seaside town situated in Norfolk. Yarmouth (as known to locals) has been a seaside town since 1760. For hundreds of years Great Yarmouth was a fishing port that was dependant on the herring fishery. Today it service the off-shore oil rigs based in the North Sea and the many holiday makers enjoying a range of Hotels. Great Yarmouth is one of the UK's greatest seaside resorts which has lots of activities for everyone of all ages. Popular tourist attractions include horse racing at the Great Yarmouth Race Course and the Pleasure Beach. The Pleasure Beach was voted in the top 10 free entry UK amusement parks during 2006 in which the Pleasure Beach had over 1.4 million visitors.
