The name of Heacham derives from a 12th century baron Geoffrey de Heacham, and its river, the Hitch. Today, Heacham is still thriving, lit by stunning coastal sunsets and bordered by brightly coloured poppy fields. Visitors and residents enjoy Heacham's sloping beaches and gently undulating West Norfolk landscape.
