In Holt, independent shops, tea rooms and coffee houses abound and it is a great place to stop for a quick snack. Particularly in abundance are curiosity shops and antique sellers. Holt's centre preserves its Georgian architectural heritage and is as pretty as anywhere in Norfolk. In fact, Holt is renowned for attracting wealthy second home buyers from London - and you can see why.
Close to the centre you will find the Holt Steam Railway 'The Poppy Line' which is linked with the coastal town of Sheringham - another nice place to visit. Additionally the Queen Victoria 1887 Jubilee Column is another interesting monument in Holt. Also worth enjoying is Holt's expansive, wooded park which is ideal for a summertime stroll.
