East Anglian Air Ambulance

Since its foundation in 2000, the charity has expanded to provide a 365 day a year service covering the 5,000 sq. miles of Cambridgeshire, Norfolk and Suffolk. The East Anglian Air Ambulance has just recived its new helicopter a Eurocopter BK117. Running costs for the new aircraft are more expensive - it will cost about ?110,000 per month to keep in the air.

Norfolk Hospice, Tapping House

At the Norfolk Hospice we help patients, carers and families living with cancer or other life-limiting illnesses, by providing timely and professional care and much needed support.
We work closely with other providers in the area, such as hospital doctors and Macmillan nurses, GPs, community nurses, social workers and other voluntary organisations to help patients to receive every aspect of care.

Started twenty seven years ago, the charity awards grants for research into cancer, equipment, and the care & support of local people affected by cancer. Big C's largest project was the building of the Big C Family Cancer Information and Support Centre situated at the Norfolk & Norwich University Hospital,which opened in May 2006
