A typical day at Hillside starts at about half past six in the morning when the preparation of food begins, and feeding starts at about half past seven. As you can imagine, taking the food to over 800 animals in their fields takes quite a long time, even with all the farm staff involved. Then there is the mucking out of the barns and stables and all the fields must be cleared every day of all dung. Most of our animals are fed twice a day, although those with special needs are fed three times a day, so feeding happens again at about twelve o clock and then again at three.

We are open to the public on the following Sundays: 9th May, 6th June, 4th July,
1st August & 12th September.
