Situated inland on the river Waveney, Beccles sits at the southern point of the Broads National Park.
With fantastic views of the Broad, rolling countryside and historic market town Beccles has a character to
charm all visitors.
The popular quayside area is an excellent place to moor and there is also the opportunity to take a tour
along the Broad in the Big Dog Ferry. The area is also the ideal spot to relax, unwind and view the
activities that take place. The quayside is also home to the popular
annual carnival & regatta.
Beccles offers a wealth of diversity, combining history with modern day culture and a unique shopping
experience. The town's independent retailers all offer a variety of services that are complemented
by the weekly market.
The town has an interesting history and many fascinating landmarks including the church tower.
At 97 foot tall the tower offers spectacular views of the town and surrounding area.

Beccles also offers an exceptional
eating and drinking experience with local pubs,
restaurants and delicatessens. For those wishing to sample some of the local produce

Beccles is also reported to have the most haunted house in England, Ross Hall. Near the Hall is an Oak Tree which
has been reported that people who had previously been hung have been seen.
