The journey which takes about 30 minutes in each direction takes you through an area of outstanding natural beauty. There are wonderful views from the embankments across the open fields. In many of the cuttings wildflowers are to be seen in profusion, together with many birds and butterflies. Whatever the weather you can travel in comfort as there are enclosed, covered and open carriages available.
