leaves where are we? leaves

Blofield Heath is a small village set in the heart of Broadland, (Ordnance Survey Grid Reference TG 329 114), central for touring all parts of Norfolk.

The Broads are only three to five miles away from South Walsham. Salhouse and Ranworth are the nearest, where you can hire a boat or walk the various nature trails, or just sit and watch the boats in the summer and the different species of wildfowl in the Spring and and Autumn.

The nearest beach is about fifteen miles away. Great Yarmouth is close if you want candyfloss and a real traditional day out at the seaside. However, if you prefer cliffs and sandy beaches, the North Norfolk coastline is only three-quarters of an hour drive, where you can follow the coast road from Cromer to Hunstanton, stopping off at Cley and National Trust owned Blakeney.

The historical city of Norwich is eight miles away. Here you can visit the famous Cathedral or the Castle Museum or the cobbled streets and the alleyways in the old part of Norwich. The Castle Mall is good if it's wet, and there are plenty of restaurants and cafes to whet your appetite.

Further afield, you could visit Suffolk, Constable country and the famous old market town of Lavenham.

There are so many places to visit and I can assure you that you will never be bored.
