Whilst exploring some of our smallest waterways, you will be able to view at close hand all of the wonderful wildlife that Norfolk and Suffolk has to offer. Over recent years, many rare species of both birds and butterflies have been seen around our wonderful tranquil Norfolk Broads.
If you are a family, group of friends, an individual or even looking to arrange a corporate or team building event, we can cater for your every need. All our canoes are designed to carry 2/3 adults or 2 adults and 2 children. On arrival you will be issued with life jackets and given a briefing on both safety and paddling techniques. Our canoes / kayaks can be hired from anything from 1/2 day to a week or more.
Potter Heigham is where you will find Lathams discount store, a Post Office, various cafes and food shops, an information bureau, The Broads Haven Public House and the Falgate Public House.
Up stream is West Somerton where you may wish to find refreshments at the local Lion Public House. Kendal Dyke takes you to either Hickling or Horsey. Both have very agreeable characteristics. For example, Horsey has a windmill which is run by the National Trust that you are able to look around. There is also a small Cafe, a shop and The Nelson Head Public House which are a small walk from the river.
Hicklling is a large and scattered village with its wide open spaces, fields and farms.It consists of a 14th century church which won the 'Best kept church yard award 1983'.Hickling provides a public house right on the broad which is the Pleasure Boat Inn.
