We can promise you a very warm and friendly welcome at Dairy Barns which is beautifully situated in the picturesque village of Hickling nestled between the glorious waterways of the Norfolk Broads and the stunning Norfolk coastline.
Dairy Barns form part of Lound Farm, a working family farm covering 360 acres of environmentally managed grazing marshes and arable land owned and run by Hannah and Ian Deane.
We love welcoming people to our home and pride ourselves on doing everything possible to help you enjoy your stay with us.
Whether you are planning to stay for a short break or a longer holiday we want to be sure that you’ll be just as happy to stay in as you will be to spend your days out exploring the wonderful Norfolk coast and countryside.
We offer 6 cosy rooms, 3 extra-special rooms and 2 self-catering holiday cottages. There’s a very relaxed atmosphere, a gentle smattering of luxury and plenty of flexibility. Our friendly staff will happily share their local knowledge to help you plan and make the most of your days away.
You’ll love our farmhouse breakfasts freshly prepared with local produce and served in our beautiful main barn or if you prefer you can treat yourself to a well earned lie-in and have breakfast in bed.
We have 6 regular rooms, each beautifully colour-themed and all on the ground floor – Dahlia, Norfolk Lavender, Samphire, Sunrise, Seaside look out over the courtyard garden and Rambling Rose which looks out over the farmyard.
Although we may call them our regular rooms we still believe in pampering all our guests and all these rooms are of course very comfortable, spacious, well-equipped, and come with what we consider to be those important little finishing touches such as luxury Body Shop toiletries, delicious chocolates on your pillow, a variety of magazines, fresh flowers and of course television/DVD and hot drinks tray with fresh milk.
Our regular rooms are all en-suite with fantastic power showers and luxury towels and have wonderfully comfy twin or super king size beds with crisp linen and cosy, pretty duvets.
Our bed & breakfast accommodation is flexible to suit larger groups and can be booked as all twin or 3 twin/3 double rooms and Sunrise and Samphire have adjoining doors to form a family suite. Most of our regular rooms can also accommodate up to 2 children in cots or put-me-up beds – please ask us for details.
For guests with limited mobility or wheelchair users, Rambling Rose is ideal, with wider doorways and a large wet room style bathroom with shower seat and is located closer to the Breakfast Barn than other rooms.
If you are looking for relaxation and complete pampering with your stay, then try My Personal Sanctuary. Here we have professional therapists who provide lots of different treatment packages in the comfort of your own room.
However, if you have specific needs please don’t hesitate to contact us to discuss further.
We have a snug coastal-themed guest lounge which is a comfortable place to relax in the evening or on a rainy day with a selection of good books, board games, wine glasses and a corkscrew and for your enjoyment an enclosed garden with large courtyard is available for our guests with a number of garden games for all the family.
Our prices offer great value for money at just £74 per night per room based on 2 adults sharing (£65 for single occupancy) including breakfast for 2 people and homemade cake on arrival.
We can accommodate children in many of our rooms for £18 per child per night sharing including breakfast. Children welcome aged 2 and over. All prices include VAT at 20%. Stay 5 nights or more and receive 10% discount on these prices.
