The Museum of The Broads
The Museum of the Broads at Stalham Staithe is open to the public throughout the summer.
It is a nationally registered museum run by volunteers who welcome visitors and give them a taste of Broads' heritage as well as conserving and restoring objects, including boats, which tell a local story.
Admission charges - please allow us to treat your admission as a charitable donation. We can then give you an annual ticket and ask you to Gift Aid. Adults: £5.00 Concession: (over 60, disabled, students) £4.50 Children: £2.50 (5-16 yrs). Under 5 free. Family: £13.00 (up to 2 adults plus 3 children) Free admission to: Friends of the Museum, Volunteers at the Museum, a Carer of a Disabled visitor, and members of the Museums Association (please show card).
River Trips on our Victorian Steam Launch, 'Falcon' Tuesdays, Wednesdays, and Thursdays. Don't miss this unique steam boat trip! Book now on 01692 581681. Adults: £4.00 Children: £2.50 (5-16 yrs). Under 5 free. Family: £12 (2 + 3) Falcon runs hourly from 1030 - 1430, conditions permitting.

The displays represent life in the area from today's conservation industry, back through the tourist industry of the twentieth century with its rapid development of the region, through the period when the need for fuel and food drastically shaped the landscape, remembering early settlements when East Anglia was an important capital region. Plenty of things to see and do for all ages, Touch screen system, audio guides, quizzes,drawing and painting corner,playboat,interactive displays, tea room picnic areas, Steam launch Falcon river trips (50 mins.) on Tues. Weds. & Thursdays on the hour 11 am - 3pm conditions permitting, so booking advised. Special events held at certain weekends and special exhibitions (see website).
