Three Rivers Camping & Caravaning site is located on the Norfolk Broads in Geldeston, right on the Norfolk Suffolk Border beside the River Waveney.
The Boat Shed has been built to accommodate luxury shower rooms and toilets, an outdoor washing up area, an office and storage room for our canoe, kayak, paddleboard and rowing boat hire. We have also installed electric hook-ups on half of the site for those who wish to have a few more home comforts. We have a floating pontoon and a second launching area at the end of the site into the Waveney River with a jetty for our visitors to launch our hire or their own vessels into the river and easily board. We also allow BBQs, campfires and pets (please see OUR REQUESTS section for more information).
We have a variety of craft available to hire to both campsite guests and visitors. Click here for more information
Three Rivers is family owned and managed by myself Jodi, a Canadian mum of two who grew up camping!
If you are looking to get away from day to day life and enjoy nature then Three Rivers is the place to visit. We welcome touring caravans, motorhomes, campervans and tents; including families, couples, sports enthusiasts and nature lovers alike. We have plenty of space and only take a limited amount of bookings, so no elbow to elbow pitches! (Pre-booking with non-refundable deposit required)
Whether you prefer more of a wild camping experience or electric hook-ups we can accommodate you.
If you would like to be right along the river bank or in the centre of the pretty meadow area there is nearly 8 acres for you to choose a spot of your own. Electric hook-up pitches are available on half the site and the other half of the site is pretty much wild (although it's only a hop, skip and a jump to the hot showers and flushing loos!).
Situated along the Waveney River our site is a great place to explore what the river, and Geldeston Village has to offer. Including two very different pubs; The Wherry Inn, an Adnams Pub managed by Janet & John only a third of a mile away and Locks Community Pub which is situated on the river, managed by Jodie and Frank Barrett and roughly two thirds of a mile away.
There are nice local walks, plenty of birds to spot and even a ferry (The Big Dog Ferry) which can take you from our jetty to Beccles or The Geldeston Locks.
The market town of Beccles is only 3 miles away where you will find a Morrisons, Tescos, great restaurants and various high street shops.
You can walk to Beccles along the river on The Broads Authorities' River Walk if desired or talk one of the other mapped Geldeston Walks which you can find posted on the side of the Village Hall or on our Facebook page https://www.facebook.com/threeriversparc
We try to be pretty flexible as we just want you to come and enjoy our great space, however there are a few things we do ask...
Children
Our site is for families who want to utilise the river and enjoy the birds/bees/wildlife, as parents of two young children, we know children get excited but this is a place for quiet relaxation for all guests. Therefore please no screaming and shouting. Please do not allow children to run through other pitches (especially due to Covid-19). Children must be supervised at the play area, which closes at dusk, and during use of the toilet/shower facilities. Remember, Three Rivers is along the Waveney River and surrounded by open, tidal water, children must be supervised at all times - please bring life jackets/buoyancy aids if you feel your children may need them.
Nature play is encouraged, however please if your children pull out sticks/branches/stones etc onto the field/into the mown bays please can you return them to where ever they came from before you leave as they can be a danger if not seen when mowing.
Smoking
We are a smoking free site due to the disappointing lack of care some have with disposing of their butts properly. If you wish to smoke you will have to leave the premises. This does not apply to “vaping”.
Fires
Campfires are only allowed in firepits that are held off the ground we don`t want burn marks all over our field. If you don’t have one we have some available for hire. Please empty all BBQs and fire pits safely in our designated metal bins provided at the bin area, so we don`t have any unwanted wild fires! Sometimes due to dry weather conditions we may have to ban fires. You are welcome to bring your own logs or we have some available for sale but please do not "forage" the site as this does disturb the natural ecosystem on site.
Please refer to our Fire Safety guidelines.
Pets
Quiet and well behaved pets are welcome, barking/noisy pets may be asked to leave - sorry no refunds. Please clean up after your pets and keep them on leads in respect of the other campers.
Noise
Please keep the noise levels down for our surrounding neighbours. This means no loud music and please turn off any music by 9pm, no running of cars after 9pm unless you are arriving late for your stay or returning from an evening out. Please keep noise levels down until 9am as well please.
Lights
The Waveney Valley is a natural spot of beauty and part of the Broads National Park so no bright/neon lights, flags or light poles or any other things that may disturb the wildlife or our villagers, Geldeston prides itself on it’s “darkness”. Please no lights higher than your tent/caravan/motorhome, warm white fairy lights are fine in awnings, gazebos and around wind breaks.
Waste
Please remember this is a family run site so cleaning up after yourself is greatly appreciated. We are keen to recycle, so please try and follow the signs on site, normal waste is acceptable but please do not leave broken furniture or equipment behind.
Other
Bring a washing up bowl - we have an outdoor washing up area but it’s easiest and more hygienic to wash up in your own bowl.
