At The Artichoke we have a secluded beer garden, enclosed on all sides with six 8-seater garden benches for you to enjoy a drink or meal ‘al fresco’ when the sun shines, or under the moonlight in the evening!
We have ample parking for over twenty cars in our fully illuminated car park. Parking is at owner's risk. Safe bike parking is available to the side and rear of the pub with our two cycle rails. The Artichoke is also served by the 80 and 88 Anglian bus routes.
We are also fortunate to have a number of walks close by, Broome Pits for some very good coarse fishing and Broome Heath for a brisk walk with the dogs. The Artichoke is the ideal starting or finishing point for a well earned pint – or two, and is very dog friendly. So, don’t forget to ask the staff for a doggy water bowl!
A very warm welcome to the Artichoke, CAMRA Norfolk Pub of the Year 2009. Your hosts, John Craft and Nicki Howard, invite you to visit this quiet, rural freehouse pub, situated just off the A143, Diss to Great Yarmouth road, Norfolk. With stone flag floors, scrubbed floorboards and inglenook fireplace, we offer you NO T.V., NO musak and NO Machines.
Instead we offer a range of 8 real ales, freshly prepared food - lunchtimes and evenings, and a chance to catch up with the days news and enjoy some good old fashioned bar room banter!
We pride ourselves on our service to you as a customer, our value for money pricing policy and our belief that a satisfied customer is a come back again customer.
