The Lion at Somerton is situated in the quiet and picturesque village of Somerton, just 1 mile from the costal village of Winterton on Sea and is only a 5 minute walk from moorings on the River Thurne

Staying with us offers the best of both worlds being only 5 minutes from the broads and 5 minutes (by car) from the sea, with are very competitive cost of Bed and Breakfast, The Lion Inn is the perfect place to stay on the Norfolk Broads.

It's extremely well presented and enjoys a prominent location in the village. Easily reached situated along the norfolk coast road between Winterton on Sea and Horsey, the pub has a traditional and relaxed atmosphere throughout in which to simply enjoy a drink at the bar, savour some of the delicious homemade food on offer in our restaurant.

This extremely popular and delightful country pub is a place you will want to visit again and again.

We have a pool table, dartboard and a great jukebox. Free wireless broadband access. As a free house we serve a range of real ales, a choice of lagers, Guinness and cider as well as wines, spirits and soft drinks. Home cooked food is served every day from 12pm to 9pm.

We have lovely crisp and clean B & B rooms available from just £40 pounds per night. There is a choice of twin, double and family rooms available.

We regularly have special nights where our chef will prepare a mouth watering meal for you and your friends.

Our food is sourced locally where possible and prepared in our own kitchens by our chef who has been with us since we opened.

The menus are ideally suited to both a quick lunch after a walk along the beach (just a mile away) or a morning sailing on the broads, through to a lovely relaxing evening meal to finish the day off on a high.

Food serving times are Noon - 3pm & 6pm - 9pm, 7 days a week during holiday periods.

Food served Mon - Fri 6pm - 9pm (outside of holiday periods (no lunch serving))

Food served Noon - 3pm & 6pm - 9pm every weekend with a traditional roast lunch on Sundays.
